Something a little different for me

I am a very predictable scrapper usually and i tend to like clean lines. Its totally different though when i'm making cards so i decided to try and do something different on my scrap pages. My little grand daughter loves to have her face painted and she loves butterflies.

Just a little project my sister and i decided to do. I'm quite pleased with it but think it needs a little more inking :)

I had hoped to spend this week crafting as i had holiday to take. Why is it when you have a plan something always goes wrong lol. The last time i had a week of work my mum was taken ill and i had to rush of to Ireland. Thankfully she has made a full recovery. So i was determined to get so much done this week, but it all went to pot. I was about to do some print and cut on my Silhoutte machine only to find out that it was'nt working. Could'nt work out why as i had done it before. Everytime i went to print it would not print out from my silhoutte . I was thinking i was going to have to buy a new printer but decided to try and see if it would work on other software and lo and behold it did. Spent days trying to work it out and just ended up getting more and more frustrated. Thanks to the girls on the "Happy Sil site" on facebook i have managed to get around the problem. The problem is not my printer but the compatibilty of the software with my particular printer which is a kodak espc315. The printer i had before was an epson . I will upload a little video to show how to get around the problem, its always easy when you know how :)

We are working for badges at work and one of the badges is learning a new skill. I choose to try beading. So having watched i don't know how many "how to" videos i thought i would give it a go. Here is my first attempt. Having made this one i will make more.

This weekend my youngest daughter came to spend time with me and her older sister. She wanted to make a quilt for a friend who had had a baby girl. As usual it was "mum have you got " and "mum can you help " LOL. So we spent Saturday and Sunday making a simple quilt. With a bit ( well a lot ) of help from Mum this is what we came up with. :)

I started to work on these pages at our monthly crop and did'nt get them finished because as usual i had forgotten to take some items with me. My son and grand daughter had a day out in London as a Christmas present from my daughter. They had a wonderful day and came home exhausted :)

I used the Portobello Road papers by papermania , mayo road Mini triangle banner stamps,making memories Philadelphia lc foam stamps.

This week i have really enjoyed watching the Cricut shows on Create and Craft. Melanie Heaton is so enthusiastic about her crafting. I always love her samples as so much work and thought have gone into them, so i thought i would play and see if i could come up with my version of some of her cards. Mine are not nearly as good but it was still fun playing :)
